1 year...

Bethan's first birthday weekend...a wonderful celebration with Pops & Yai Vann! We are so thankful for a year of life from our great God. We love you, Bets!

Car-seats and puppy dogs

A lot has been happening around here lately. Charlie moved to a "big boy bed" last week, and Bethan-two days shy of her 1st birthday-has now moved to a full-sized carseat. In the meantime, the old one makes for a great toy. Or if that gets old there is always dress-up. Puppy dog or peasant- take your pick. One of these days we might need to expand the Vann costume department!

I am debtor

When this passing world is done,
When has sunk yon glaring sun,
When we stand with Christ in glory,
Looking o'er life's finished story,
Then, Lord, shall I fully know
Not till then how much I owe.

When the praise of heaven I hear,
Loud as thunders to the ear,
Loud as many water's noise,
Sweet as harp's melodious voice,
Then, Lord, shall I fully know
Not till then how much I owe.

Chosen not for good in me,
Wakened up from wrath to flee,
Hidden in the Saviour's side,
By the Spirit sanctified,
Teach me, Lord, on earth to show,
By my love, how much I owe.

Recent pics

After carefully arranging each one, he later turned them all around so they could, "look out the window." :)
A boy and his blanket... inseparable!
Guess who finally has two little teeth about to poke through? She looks deceivingly happy in this picture. :)

Speak, O Lord

"Jesus answered him, 'Simon, I have something to say to you.' And he replied, 'Say it, Teacher.'" Luke 7:40

Is there something Jesus wants to say to you or to me? Do we want to hear it? Are we willing to hear it? Are we waiting to hear it?
